Assistive Measure for Points

Points are the basic geometric entities in any 3D model and are used as a basis for measurement. To help you measure quickly and identify all points during measurement, Glovius will assist you by highlighting the nearby points for Measurement. As you move the cursor in the scene, you will be able to select the nearby points to the cursor and measure their ordinates or the distances from other points.

To use this feature, open a model, click on the Measure tool and select ‘Points’ only option from the from the Filter list. Now, Move your cursor towards geometry to show all the nearby points. You can select any of the points for use in measurement.

Hatching Effect in Sectioning

We are pleased to announce a new enhancement to Glovius Section functionality. This enhancement improves the visual display of components during Sectioning by quickly segregating and identifying various components of the model. In case of an assembly, multiple hatching patterns are applied to distinguish the components for visual legibility.

Hatching Pattern in CAD Components

Hatching effect is turned on by default and you can turn it off by toggling the Hatching button in Glovius. Give this enhancement a spin and give us your feedback by reaching out to us at support@glovius.com
